Learn More About Angie's Ancient Eastern Healing Therapy

What exactly is Lymphatic Cupping FlowTherapy?

Lymphatic Cupping Therapy is an ancient treatment that uses suction to create a vacuum on your skin combined with Eastern and Western methods. It is different from your deep tissue or swedish massage. Flow Therapy uses gentle motions to move trapped lymph fluid, sedate your nervous system, lower cortisol levels, stress, anxiety and open your lymph nodes. This process helps surface blood to the targeted area to bring oxygen back into your tissue, helping to loosen inflamed tissue, reduce swelling and inflammation, reduce aches and pain, improve circulation, boost your immune system, promote natural healing and lymphatic drainage.

During your initial cupping session, our practitioner will begin with a brief consultation and health assessment.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Initial Assessment. You’ll complete a short questionnaire and discuss any current pain or discomfort.
  • Preparation. The practitioner may mark target areas and clean the skin before applying the cups.
  • The Cupping Session. Cups are applied to create gentle suction. Light to NO bruising. You might feel a pulling sensation as your muscles relax and the cups are being placed across your skin. Angie will start using gentle modalities to activate your lymph nodes and blood circulation.
  • Post-Treatment. Once the session ends, you’re left with a sense of relief, lower cortisol levels, sleepy and deeply in a sedated relax state of mind, and less pain/tension especially in the targeted areas. Plan for a well rested evening and limited activities for 24 hours after treatment.

To get the most out of your cupping therapy, please consider these recommendations:

  • Stay Hydrated. Drink 32 oz of water the night before your session to help flush out toxins the following day.
  • Avoid Heavy Meals. Have a light snack before hand to ensure your body is relaxed.
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing. Choose loose attire that allows easy access to treatment areas.
  • Communicate Any Concerns. Inform your practitioner of any medications or skin sensitivities prior to treatment.

Many patients experience noticeable relief after just one session. However, ongoing benefits often require a series of treatments tailored to your needs. We typically recommend 4-6 sessions, with adjustments based on your progress and specific condition.

Let’s look at some sample conditions and their associated timelines:

  • Muscle Tension & Back Pain. Noticeable relief immediately.
  • Chronic Inflammation. Consistent sessions over several weeks may be required.
  • Sports Recovery. Improved mobility and reduced soreness can occur with regular treatments.

Cupping Therapy is generally considered safe when performed by a trained professional. However, as with any treatment, there are a few considerations:

  • Mild Side Effects. Temporary light bruising or skin irritation can occur, but typically fades quickly.
  • Not for Everyone. Individuals with certain medical conditions (such as skin disorders or clotting issues) and pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider before starting treatment.

I absolutely loved the Red Light and Cupping Therapy session with Angie she made me feel so comfortable, relaxed and stress free!
